Transfer 9: Midland, Texas

October 7, 2013

Howdy!

Another baptism this weekend! Brittiney and her family were so excited for her baptism. Her mom gave the closing prayer at the service and it just about made everyone cry. She gave thanks for not giving up on her family and bringing them back into the strait and narrow. What a great feeling to know that I was able to be a tool in the Lord's hands to help a family feel the Spirit of God. Sure you will agree, "This is the greatest time to be a missionary for the Lord, period!!!!!" First, Elder William R. Walker counsels us in a mission tour.  Then, two days of counsel from prophets, seers and revelators.  May we be doers of the word? From the opening prayer in the first session of General Conference to the closing prayer, to a Prophet's counsel, "Now is the time for members and missionaries to come together, to work together, to labor in the Lord's vineyard to bring souls unto Him.  He has prepared the means for us to share the gospel in a multitude of ways..." to a host of other talks, missionary work was subject of the day. Indeed, the time is now for members and missionaries to clearly grasp their missionary purpose in working with their fellow brothers and sisters. If there ever were a time for unity, it is now, on the Lord's errand. The end of the transfer is coming up next week so we are pushing to get at least one more baptism!! This area is on fire!

Love,
Elder Rios
